Egyptian Gods

Below, in alphabetical order, are a list of all the ancient gods that the Egyptians worshipped, in some way or another. If applicable, alternative spellings, or names, for each god is given, which is handy for when the gods were renamed after the Greek, and Roman, periods.

Also included are the names of the 42 deities from The Hall of Justice, who are often seen on the top of scenes such as the "weighing of the heart" ceremony from the Book of the Dead; the names of the deities from the Hours of the Day and the Hours of the Night (24 in total, of course); and the names of the 4 sons of Horus, who are often seen on the top of Canopic jars.
