Enjoy a 2-days trip to St. Catherine monastery and Moses Mountain. In this trip, we are going to drive from Cairo to St. Catherine, arriving in the afternoon. Wake up early to hike the Moses Mountain in darkness to see the sunrise from the mountain top. Then we are going to visit St. Catherine monastery which is one of Christianity’s oldest monasteries. Return back to Cairo after breakfast.
Day 01
In the early morning, one of Oriental Tour’s representatives and driver will pick you up from your hotel in Cairo to start your trip to St. Catherine monastery by a modern air conditioned vehicle. It takes several hours as we will go through Sharm El-Sheikh road. Check in your Hotel for overnight and some rest and get ready for the second day of your trip to St. Catherine monastery.
Day 02:
At 02:00 AM in the early morning, you will be picked up from your hotel in St. Catherine and be transferred to Moses Mountain to start the first part of your trip to St. Catherine monastery and an expert Bedouin guide will escort you to climb the holy mountain. To reach the top of the mountain it might take 3 hours and you’ve 7 rests to have hot drinks during your climb. Upon your arrival to the top you will enjoy the view of the sunrise and mountains view. After enjoying the sunrise, you will be escorted to go down to continue your trip to St. Catherine monastery. You are going to visit St. Catherine Monastery, one of the oldest working Christian monasteries in the world. It was built between 548 and 565 AD. After that, you will have your breakfast at the hotel and drive back to Cairo. This would be wonderful tour in Egypt.
